The Three Types of Essential Oils

The Three Types of Essential Oils

Three Categories of Essential Oils

Essential oils can be divided up into three categories:
Phenols
Monoterpenes
Sesquiterpenes

Let me give you a new way to see these large words.
P for Purify
S for Stop
M for Mend and Repair

The Car Wash:  Phenol Essential Oils
Phenol essential oils purpose is to purify your cells.  Imagine that each cell has a physical door.  Due to chemicals, toxins, and cellular damage from life the door into your cells can become blocked.  When this happens you see the decline of your health.  Cells are often damaged by man-made products and medicines.
Essential oils high in phenols are like a car wash.  These essential oils cleanse the outside of the cell membrane so that OTHER essential oils, like monoterpenes, can then begin to do their job.
Examples of phenol essential oils:
wintergreen
clove
basil
fennel
melaleuca
peppermint
cinnamon
Note:  Phenol essential oils help rid the body of parasites.

Enter the Police: Sesquiterpene Essential Oils

Once phenols have done their work, now the door into the cell wall is accessible.  Sesquiterpene essential oils will enter through the doorway and stop or erase faulty information in your DNA.  You could say that sesquiterpenes are like the police of essential oils.
Examples of sesquiterpene essential oils:
cedarwood
sandalwood
ginger
myrrh
vetiver
chamomile
black pepper
ylang ylang

Enter God’s Doctor:  Monoterpene Essential Oils
Thanks to the hard work and messy job of the first two categories of essential oils, along come the monoterpenes.  These oils seek to mend and repair the damage to your cells.  While they won’t reverse aging, they will help to “reset your DNA to factory setting.”  Monoterpenes are like God’s doctor here on earth.
Examples of monoterpene essential oils:
grapefruit
orange
lemon
frankincense
cypress
marjoram

What Do you Do With This Information?
Well, I think we stand in awe at God’s creativity and foresight.
After that?  Evaluate the state of your health.  Are you just beginning your health journey?  If so, you might begin using the “Car Wash” essential oils more than “God’s Doctor” oils.
